First Orthodontist visit

What to Expect at Your First Visit

We are always excited about meeting new patients during their first visit to our office! Your initial appointment will consist of a thorough examination and a discussion of potential treatment options. This important 60-minute visit will give us insight into your orthodontic needs, and allow us to gather diagnostic records.

The records consist of X-rays and photographs, and are necessary for developing the appropriate treatment plan.  During the initial examination for each patient, we will address the questions below that cover the basics of orthodontics treatment.  We encourage you to ask questions as well.

You can schedule your appointment by giving us a call at our Nottingham, Abingdon, Baltimore or Columbia location, 410-256-2044.

You can also send a request by email to us by clicking here. We look forward to meeting you in our office!

Common First Visit Questions

• Is there a condition that orthodontics can address?

• Is treatment needed now or should treatment be delayed until appropriate growth, tooth eruption or other factors have occurred?

• What treatment procedures will be used to correct the problem?

• Do any permanent teeth need to be removed?

• How long will treatment take?

• How much will it cost?

• What are my payment options?

We make it a priority to understand your specific concerns, and we will ensure that you leave your first visit with a clear understanding of the process moving forward!

For those who are as excited as we are to start your journey toward a more beautiful smile, we also offer same day braces!  Any patient who wishes to begin treatment with Invisalign, clear or metal braces may start the same day as their first visit!
