Orthodontic Options Offered By
Dr. Amanda Gallagher
Dr. Amanda Gallagher is proud to offer a variety of options when it comes to orthodontic treatments. Each of the following options have their own benefits and advantages. If you have any questions about the treatments below please do not hesitate to contact our office! Our team will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
Metal Braces
Traditional metal braces use stainless steel brackets and wires to adjust your teeth into the desired position. With today's technology, brackets are smaller making them less noticeable and more comfortable than braces have been in the past.
Ceramic/Clear Braces
Similar to traditional metal braces, these braces use a ceramic bracket that is almost invisible making your orthodontic treatment just as effective and less noticeable. This type of braces is more common for older patients because of their aesthetic appeal. The only drawback to these braces is that they are more fragile than normal braces and the clear elastics are more prone to discoloration.

Invisalign
Using a system of invisible, custom-made, computer generated aligners, Invisalign straightens teeth gradually without the use of visible brackets. One major advantage of Invisalign is that these aligners are all removable so there is no limitation on what you can eat or drink, and brushing and flossing is much easier than it is with braces. Invisalign works in correcting most cases of malocclusion. At our office, we now use a 3D digital scanner and no longer need to take impressions for Invisalign. Ask Dr. Gallagher if you are a good candidate for Invisalign.

Living with Invisalign
One of the best things about Invisalign® is the minimal impact it has on your everyday life. Since the aligners are so comfortable, you should be able to wear them for the recommended 20 to 22 hours a day without much effort.
