Meet Dr. Blum
Dr. Blum was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. She attended the University of Maryland in College Park, where she graduated with dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Neurobiology & Physiology and Psychology. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland, School of Dentistry. Dr. Blum then moved to Pittsburgh to complete her orthodontic residency at the University of Pittsburgh, School of Dental Medicine, where she received both her Orthodontic Certificate and Master of Science in Dentistry. Throughout her academic and professional journey, Dr. Blum has contributed to several research studies and has authored publications in peer-reviewed journals. She will complete the second step of the board certification process in September and plans to become a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.

Dr. Blum is overjoyed to join the AGO family—a dream come true, as Dr. Gallagher has been one of her inspirations in her journey in becoming an orthodontist. Dr. Blum is deeply passionate about helping patients achieve smiles they can feel confident and proud to share. She understands the emotional and social significance of a healthy, beautiful smile and is dedicated to creating an orthodontic experience that feels welcoming, supportive, and personalized. With a strong patient-centered approach, Dr. Blum customizes every treatment plan to reflect each individual’s unique needs. She holds herself to the highest standards of care, striving to provide compassionate, empathetic, and high-quality service. For Dr. Blum, the most rewarding part of orthodontics is building meaningful relationships with her patients and their families, and witnessing the joy on their faces when they see their new smile for the first time.

Her professional affiliations include the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), American Dental Association (ADA), Maryland State Society of Orthodontists (MSSO), and Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists (MASO).
A proud Baltimore native, Dr. Blum is thrilled to be back home near her family, friends, and beloved sports teams: the Ravens and the Orioles. In her free time, Dr. Blum enjoys playing golf, taking pilates and barre classes, traveling, skiing, cooking, staying active outdoors, and spending quality time with family and friends.
